Your Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, individuals who do not have health insurance or who choose not to use their health insurance to pay for health care services may have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much their care is expected to cost. Thrively Co. NJ Counseling & Coaching, LLC is committed to providing clear information about the expected cost of therapy services.

What Is a Good Faith Estimate?

A Good Faith Estimate provides an estimate of the expected charges for health care services based on the information available at the time the estimate is prepared.

If you are uninsured or plan to pay for therapy services without submitting a claim to your health insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your care.

You may also request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling a service.

Your Good Faith Estimate

Your Good Faith Estimate will include the expected charges for the therapy services reasonably anticipated as part of your care.

Because the length and frequency of therapy can vary based on your individual needs, treatment goals, and clinical recommendations, the total cost of therapy may vary. Your Good Faith Estimate is based on the information known at the time it is created and may be updated if your anticipated services or treatment needs change.

A Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not require you to receive services from Thrively Co. or any provider identified in the estimate.

If Your Bill Is Higher Than Your Estimate

If you receive a bill from a provider that is at least $400 more than the expected charges listed for that provider on your Good Faith Estimate, you may be eligible to use the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.

You may also contact Thrively Co. to discuss your bill or ask questions about the charges.

Starting a dispute resolution process will not negatively affect the quality of care you receive.

For more information about your rights under the No Surprises Act or the patient-provider dispute resolution process, visit the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services No Surprises resources or call the No Surprises Help Desk at 1-800-985-3059.
